Some tips before Hurricane Irma of things you can do last-minute after all your necessary safety preparations:

If you have Netflix, you can download movies for offline viewing.

Make sure all your devices/external batteries are charged up.

Test all your regular batteries.

If you live with others, make sure you have headphones for alone time.

Locate all your board games/cards/etc. you will be without power for AT LEAST several days, and cabin fever is terrible.

Fill up water bottles and plastic baggies with water, freeze them and make sure your fridge and freezer are as full as possible, so they can stay cool as long as possible.

Make a “go bag” with a week’s worth of clothing and toiletries (don’t pack much more than that, portability is key). Make sure to include a plastic bag with all your important documents in it (title to your car, birth certificate, passport, cash, etc. )

So, I’ve been back on the Tumblr for a few days now. And it’s been really odd. So many old feelings and memories have rushed back to me, of a time where I wasn’t really sure of who I was, or who I wanted to be.

The person you all knew, the old Sim, that’s not me anymore. And time has given me the perspective to see that. I was depressed, lonely, and seeking love and attention in the wrong places. I didn’t know what to do with all the feelings of being a newly out gayby and so I shoved them on to some of you, and I’m sorry about that.

It’s late right now, and I’m just laying in bed, reminiscing. I was so young and dumb and impulsive back when I first started spending time on this website, it’s crazy to see how far I’ve come since then. Do you know who’s next to me in my bed? My fiancé. That’s right, I’m engaged. I’m gonna marry the love of my life in a little over a year and I cannot possibly be happier. I have a purpose now, a path that I am so excited to take with the woman I love.

So I hope from here on out we can have a healthier relationship, Tumblr and friends. Go ahead and follow my main blog, cuz this one won’t really be active anymore. (See post below for deets). Shoot me a message, lets reconnect.

The Sim is back y'all

Well hi Tumblr, it’s been a minute(more like a year or two) but I’m baaaaaack.

Update on my life: I’m in my last year of law school (whatttt), still engaged to the love of my life, still busy with school and student organizations at school, but deciding to make time to reconnect with Tumblr, because I’ve missed y'all! And it’s been like…2 years (????!) since I’ve been on here regularly, which is insane to me a little bit.

Oh shit I haven’t been online in freaking forever haha, so I have no idea when this was asked. But yes, I am a gold star. 

So I actually had a minute to go on the tumblrs, and seeing so many posts about the R&I finale has made me nostalgic. (feels-y rambles after the cut)

Hey y’all, I know its been, like, forever. I started law school in August 2015 and between that and being in a long-distance relationship, I haven’t really had the time for tumblr. Fortunately, it is now summer, and I’m staying with my girlfriend during the break, so I am going to maybe be returning to blogging. However, I really don’t think I’m going to be doing much fandom tumblr-ing, at least not to the point of needing this side blog. So if you want you can go follow my main blog @simonym .
